Runaway to Devon for the Dream Wedding A Deux

Runaway to Devon for the Dream Wedding A Deux

Published: 30 April 2015

Brides-to-be yearning for a simple, stress-free wedding day needn’t elope (far): The Moorland Garden Hotel has created My Little Devon Wedding, the perfect intimate package just for two.

Set in nine acres of tranquil, landscaped gardens on the western fringes of Dartmoor National Park, the hotel provides a magical spot to tie the knot. Sometimes it’s the little things that count…and for those not wanting their big day to involve a large party and huge headaches, a special little Devon wedding could prove a big hit.

The package costs £800 and includes an intimate civil ceremony room for the bride and groom, romantic picnic with a bottle of Champagne in the peaceful wildflower meadow and candlelit dinner for two either in the Wildflower Restaurant or as room service, as well as an overnight stay in a sumptuous suite and breakfast. The team will also take care of a hand-tied bouquet and buttonhole and capture photos with the couple’s camera.

Opt to stay in the Forget-Me-Not suite with its palette of pale blues and creams, four-poster bed and balcony, the Lily of the Valley, Peony or Jasmine suites.

Recently revamped and restored, the Moorland Garden Hotel enjoys a beautiful location between the untamed splendour of Dartmoor National Park and the magnificent natural harbour of Plymouth. The Wildflower Restaurant won gold and was named overall Best Restaurant in the South West at the Taste of the West Awards 2013, and was commended in the Taste of Devon category at the Devon Tourism Awards 2014.
